Earthenware ClayEarthenware clay is a low firing clay which fires at a temperature below 1100 C (2012 F) which is always porous similar to a flowerpot.
Stoneware ClayStoneware clay is a hard, strong and vitrified ware. Usually fired above 1200C (2192F).
PorcelainPorcelain is a white vitrified and translucent ware.

Tucker's Paper ClayPaper has been added to popular clay bodies, making the finished piece lighter.
Raku ClayThese clays will withstand the thermal shock that the process of raku puts the clay through. They can be used for other purposes such as large scale pieces.
